One of the promo clips for Surfing’ USA we’ve been posting is this viral video that Mark Zuckerberg posted a while ago on July 4th. It just struck a weird nerve for everyone - something about the juxtaposition and the melancholy harmony captures the contradictory spirit of the record. A fan dubbed it “post-apocalyptic surf pop” which we thought was perfect.
